Somersworth man indicted for fatal crash that killed man on way to AA meeting

SOMERSWORTH - A Somersworth man has been indicted for his role in a fatal crash.

57-year-old David Berry has been indicted on one count of negligent homicide for a car accident that claimed the life of 61-year-old Reed Hindle.

According to court documents, Berry said he was drinking beer and smoking marijuana before the accident.

Hindel’s family says he was on his way to an alcoholics anonymous meeting when he was struck and killed.

Berry also faces a driving under the influence charge.

He’s scheduled to be arraigned January 29.
