Sobriety checks lead to DWI arrests in Bedford and Portsmouth

State police in Bedford and Portsmouth conducted sobriety checks Friday night that led to multiple arrests for DWI Friday night.

In Bedford, 479 vehicles were screened leading to three arrests on Route 101. Robert Mele, 46 of Milford, and Steven Gladysz, 46 of Manchester, were charged with driving while intoxicated. Jared Warren, 30 of Alstead, received a summons for driving with a suspended license.

In Portsmouth, of the 436 vehicles screened, three drivers were arrested on DWI charges on the Spaulding Turnpike. Christopher Ralph, 26, of Dover, and Seth Ulinsky, 40, of Dover, were charged with a DWI. Lauren Powers, 24,of Chelsea Mass., was charged with a DWI, and with driving with an open container and driving without a valid ID.
