Sobriety checkpoint in Seabrook leads to six arrests
SEABROOK - A sobriety checkpoint on Route 1-A on Friday led to six arrests and one man who was taken into protective custody.
State police say a total of 326 vehicles were stopped and screened. The checkpoint was set up by State Police Troop A in conjunction with Seabrook and Hampton police and the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.
Those arrested include:
Christie Adams, 26, of Millbury, Mass., charged with driving while intoxicated,
Mark Olson, 27, of Salisbury, Mass., charged with driving while intoxicated
Paul Whalen, 54, of Salisbury, Mass. charged with driving while intoxicated,
Gary Vrotsos, 32, of Woburn, Mass., charged with driving while intoxicated and conduct after an accident,
Sheila Fortunato, 25, of Haverhill Mass., charged with possession of a controlled drug,
Renee Goldsmith, 48, of Fitchburg, Mass. charged with possession of a controlled drug
Taken into protective custody:
Michael O’Brien, 32, of Arlington, Mass.
All those charged are scheduled to appear in the 10th Circuit Court-Seabrook Division on Oct. 22.
