Sobriety checkpoint coming to Nashua this weekend


The director of the New Hampshire State Police announced that there will be a sobriety checkpoint in Nashua the week of the July 31.

State police troopers from Troop B in Bedford and officers from the Nashua Police Department will be manning the checkpoint.

The Hillsborough County Superior Court authorized the checkpoint, and it will be conducted according to the guidelines of the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office.

New Hampshire law enforcement agents consider check points like these to be one of the most effective ways to take drunk drivers off the road.
