Sober Halloween party to fight addiction being held at Strand Ballroom in Dover

DOVER — A substance-free Halloween party will be held at The Strand Ballroom Oct. 22.

The event, put on by KINGDOM and SOS, is aimed at those who want to avoid the typical pub party or are committed to sobriety.

Secular Organizations for Sobriety is a nonprofit network of groups focused on helping people overcome alcohol, drug and food addiction. The civic collective KINGDOM will perform live along with DJ Julie Roseberry A.K.A Autuhypnotic.

Half of the money raised through ticket sales from this 18-and-over event will go to SOS to help fund their anti-addiction efforts.

In addition to music there will be a best costume contest and raffle prizes.
