Snowmobile accident in Dorchester leaves man injured

DORCHESTER - Conservation Officers from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department responded to a snowmobile accident in the area of Clough Road late Saturday night.

Michael Stewart, 55 of Canaan was riding his snowmobile with a group of friends when he lost control on a sharp corner and drove his snowmobile into the woods leading to his injury.

Stewart and his friends were finishing up their ride for the day and were only about three-tenths of a mile from their vehicles when the incident occurred.

Stewart was then transported by ambulance to Spear Memorial Hospital in Plymouth and treated for his injuries.
