SNHU turns ice rink pink to raise awareness of breast cancer

HOOKSETT — Southern New Hampshire University turned its ice rink pink for the annual "Pink-in-the-Rink" Monarchs game this weekend.

The event is to raise awareness of breast cancer, and money from the event goes toward breast cancer research at Catholic Medical Center.

The process of turning the rink pink takes several days, and more than 160-gallons of pink resin, which is used to coat the surface.

The game will be played Saturday at 6 p.m. against the Adirondack Thunder.

The event is hosted by the Monarchs Care Foundation.
