Slippery roads cause head on collision in Rochester

ROCHESTER - Slippery roads caused a head on collision Sunday.

At 6:20 p.m., Rochester Police along with the Rochester Fire department and EMS said they responded to an accident on Cross Road.

Officers said Bryan Cole, 21 of Rochester, was operating a Mercury Mountaineer westbound on Cross Road toward Farmington. Officers said Cole lost control of the vehicle on the icy road conditions and crossed in to the eastbound lane.

Officers said Cole's vehicle struck a Honda Civic operated by Tiffany Mai, 24 of Farmington, head on.

Police said both drivers and an adult passenger in Cole's vehicle were transported to Frisbie Hospital by Frisbie EMS for non-life threatening injuries.

Police also said both vehicles suffered extensive damage and were towed from the scene.

Officials said the cause of the accident was slippery roads from light rain and freezing temperatures.
