Ski resorts reporting revenue, visitor gains in off-season

CONCORD— Ski areas in New Hampshire — many of which have expanded their summer and fall offerings to zip-lining, mountain coasters and festivals — are reporting some gains in revenue and visits over last year.
Weddings at resorts also have become more popular.
Loon Mountain Resort, for example, reported revenue up 3 percent over last summer and fall. The resort cites strong business from the gondola skyrides and weddings, as well as a record year for the New Hampshire Highland Games & Festival in September.
Cannon Mountain's Aerial Tramway was up 12 percent in revenue and 7 percent in visits over last summer.
Mount Sunapee said the Evolution Bike Park, added to the Adventure Park this summer, was popular, with four trails for all abilities.
