Single-car crash on I-293 in Manchester leaves NH woman dead
MANCHESTER — New Hampshire State Police is investigating a fatal crash on Interstate 293 that occurred around 11:45 p.m. Monday.
Officials say they located a 2008 Nissan Versa vertically leaning against a tree near Exit 7 northbound. After an investigation, police determined the car failed to negotiate a curve, the driver lost control and crashed in the woods.
The driver of the Versa, identified as 31-year-old Amanda Primeau, of Manchester, was ejected from the vehicle. She was brought to Elliot Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The right lane of I-293 was closed for approximately three hours while troopers investigated.
Police believe speed is a factor in the crash, but continue their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Francois at (603) 223-4381.
