Shooting of Bruno the Dog by owner sparking outrage across NH

BERLIN - The furor over the shooting of Bruno the dog in Berlin is sparking outrage in the Granite State.

UPDATE: Memorial erected for Bruno the dog in Berlin

Bruno fans were outraged that the Berlin owner, Ryan Landry, had brought the dog into the remote, North Country woods, shot it several times on its body and then left it to die.

There has already been 1,500 signatures on change.org urging the governor to support a state law change animal cruelty laws to include shooting your own dog.

It’s illegal to whip a dog but not to shoot one if it is your own animal, and you can make the case it is an form of euthanasia.
