Shaker Road School speaks out about former coach accused of sexual assault against students

CONCORD - New details emerged Tuesday with the case concerning Donald Levesque, who is accused of having inappropriate sexual relations with students. According to the head of Shaker Road School, where Levesque last worked during the 2013-14 school year, “Levesque was ordered off Shake Road School property in early 2014.” In a press release sent out this morning, Douglas Hicks said that Levesque was an “assistant,” not a teacher.

“At no time did Shaker Road School have any knowledge of any criminal conduct described in the criminal complaints against Levesque.”

According to court documents, the communication between Levesque and the male student stemmed from Snapchat exchanges, a popular phone application where the content of a message disappears after being viewed. Documents indicate that the boy met with Levesque 10 to 15 times from November 2013 through June 2014.

Levesque is facing multiple charges including:

-endangering the welfare of the child

-sexual assault

-aggravated felonious sexual assault

-child pornography charges.

He was an area football coach including with the Concord Capitals Youth organization up until last week.

On Monday, Levesque’s bail was set at $60,000 cash or surety bail.

According to the Merrimack County Department of Corrections, Levesque is not currently in protective custody.

The Levesque family is prominent in the community. His mother was a teacher at Shake Road School and is brother is a member of Concord police, which is why the Merrimack County Sherriff’s office conducted the investigation.

Levesque is scheduled for a probable cause hearing in Concord district court Friday at 8:30 a.m.
