Sexual assault trial for former NH community center custodian slated to start
CONCORD — The trial for a Tilton man accused of sexually assaulting seven girls and one woman is scheduled to start Tuesday.
Robert Magoon, a former longtime employee at the Pines Community Center in Northfield, was arrested in May 2016.
The center held a meeting after Magoon's arrest to address parents concerns and questions.
Magoon is accused of sexually assaulting seven girls and one woman.
His arrest came after allegations made by two girls, who said they were groped at the Pines Community Center in Northfield. Prosecutors said the incidents started in 2014. More children came forth and made similar allegations. The girls ranged in age from 7 to 13 at the time of alleged assaults.
Magoon, who is also a former police officer, worked at Pines for about a decade. He faces 15 charges.
