Senator Shaheen tells NH1 News she supports Kushner's cooperation in Russia investigation
CONCORD — Senior New Hampshire Senator Jeanne Shaheen weighed in on President Donald Trump's son-in-law's involvement in the investigation of ties between Russia and the Trump campaign.
On Friday in Concord, Shaheen told NH1 News she supportive of Jared Kushner's cooperation in the investigation.
"From the reports that I've seen, Mr. Kushner is being asked because he has information that pertains to the investigation," Shaheen said. "I think the more information that we can get out in the public, the better."
NBC News and The Washington Post first reported that the FBI's ongoing investigation includes a look at Kushner, which would place the probe inside the White House.
Kushner, a key White House adviser, had meetings late last year with Russia's ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak, and Russian banker Sergey Gorkov.
