Sen. Ayotte takes part in caregiving forum
CONCORD (AP) — U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire is taking part in a national forum on family caregiving in Washington.
Ayotte is part of a congressional caucus called Assisting Caregivers Today. It's been formed to focus on the needs of family caregivers in the United States.
Wednesday's forum is sponsored by AARP. Panelists are discussing policies and strategies that can help support the approximately 40 million Americans providing often unrecognized care for their older parents, spouses and other loved ones.
U.S. Sen. Susan Collins of Maine also is scheduled to speak at the forum.
