Seminar to address high school bass fishing tournaments

The Associated Press

HOOKSETT — Student bass fishing tournaments are in at a number of N.H. high schools — so the Fish and Game Department is presenting its third annual "High School Bass Fishing Seminar Series" on Aug. 26 in Hooksett.

All student athletes, coaches and athletic directors participating in the fall bass fishing season are encouraged to attend. The seminar at Bass Pro Shops will include presentations on "Black Bass 101," knot-tying techniques, impacts of lead jigs, aquatic invasive species and expected fall tournament patterns and techniques.

Participants can RSVP online by Aug. 19 to Lisa Collins at lisa.collins@wildlife.nh.gov. They are asked to put "NHIAA Bass Tournament Seminar" in the subject line of the email and state the number of people attending.
