Second man arrested in connection with baseball bat attack in Goffstown
GOFFSTOWN - A second man has been arrested in connection with a Sunday baseball bat assault.
Jayson Setoute, 18, of Manchester, is accused of ambushing another man along with Isaiah Williams, 18, of Goffstown.
The 20-year-old male victim reported that he was assaulted on Daniel Plummer Road near Oakwood Lane. The victim was then taken and dropped off on Moose Club Park Road near the intersection of Circle Drive.
The victim had serious injuries to his head and body and is in critical condition at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover.
Manchester police arrested Williams on Monday night after a foot chase.
Police in that city said an officer saw Williams walk into a pizza shop on Lowell Street around 9 p.m. Aware there was an oustanding warrant for his arrest in Goffstown on assault charges, the officer approached Williams, but he ran off. Williams was later found behind a building on East High Street.
Police said he continued to be combative as he was taken into custody, with one officer suffering a minor injury.
In addition to the charges Williams faces in Goffstown, he is now facing charges of simple assault (on a police officer) and resisting arrest/detention.
Setoute is expected to be appear in Goffstown district court on Thursday. Bail has not yet been set.
