Second head-on collision in 5 days sends a driver to the hospital in Moultonborough


MOULTONBOROUGH — Belmont police responded to a car crash early this morning on Route 106 near Peggy Drive.

The two car collision allegedly occurred when the car traveling northbound swerved into the southbound lane and struck a Mack truck traveling south at about 6:40 a.m.

The driver of the first car was sent to the Lakes Region General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

This is the second head on crash on Route 106 within the last five days.

No alcohol nor speed seem to be a factor in the crash.

Identification of the drivers are not available at this time.
