Seagull rescued from rooftop in North Hampton after left wing gets impaled on rod

NORTH HAMPTON - A seagull will fly another day thanks to fast-acting rescuers.

Animal Rescue got reports of a seagull who was trapped on top of a chimney and was caught on a lightning arrester rod unable to fly away.

Rescuers responded to a home after the owner reported that the seagull was stuck on their roof.

Rescuers saw that the seagull's left wing was impaled on the rod, so they got it unstuck and safely carried the bird down ladder.

The seagull has been transported to a local wildlife refuge.
