Seabrook woman charged with DWI after rollover accident

SEABROOK - A Seabrook woman has been charged with driving while intoxicated after a rollover accident on Saturday night.

State police say the rollover was reported around 9:30 p.m. on Washington Street at the intersection with Walton Road.

Police say their investigation revealed that the driver, Marcia Preston, 22, was heading north at a high rate of speed on Washington Street when she failed to negotiate a turn in the road. Losing control, she hit a stone monument and a flagpole, causing the Chevrolet Equinox to roll over.

Preston and a passenger, Oleksandra Slobodian, 20, of Hampton, were taken to Exeter Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

Preston was subsequently charged with DWI. She is scheduled to be arraigned on March 10 in the Seabrook District Court.

State police say the accident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Brian Gacek at 223-8490.
