Seabrook woman agrees to plead guilty in fatal Hampton crash
BRENTWOOD- A Seabrook woman charged with hitting and killing two bicyclists and injuring others in Hampton last year has agreed to plead guilty.
Darriean Hess will plead guilty to two counts of manslaughter and two counts of second degree assault.
She had until Friday to agree to the deal.
Hess is accused of driving under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.
Rockingham County Attorney Patricia Conway says the survivors of the accident and the family of the other victims were both hoping for a deal to avoid a trial.
Hess faces at least 10 years in jail. Sentencing is expected to happen early January.
