School bus carrying 11 students, Prius collide head-on; car driver seriously injured


DURHAM - One student was injured when a school bus and a car collided on Route 108 Friday morning.

It appears the driver of a white Prius crossed the yellow line around 8:20 a.m., officials said.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Eleven children from Mast Way Elementary School in Lee were on the bus, one student sustained minor injuries.

The school bus driver was not injured.

Police said the students were picked up at the scene by their parents.
