Salem police seek help in identifying man who robbed Citizens Bank inside Shaw's

SALEM — Salem police are searching for the suspect in the robbery at Citizen's Bank inside of Shaw's on Cluff Crossing Road.

Police received the robbery call at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The suspect is said to had walked in, handed the teller a note on a yellow piece of paper demanding money before becoming agitated and urged the teller to comply by reaching for his waist. The man left with an unknown amount of money.

The man is described as a white male, 5-feet, 9-inches tall andabout 40-years-old, with dark hair and a scruffy beard. He was wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt with red lines across the shoulder and chest, and a red, white, and blue patriots hat at the time of the robbery. He also has a large tattoo on his left forearm.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Salem Police at (603) 893-1911.
