Salem police seek driver involved in hit-and-run

SALEM - Police are looking for the driver involved in a hit-and-run accident on I-93 Friday morning.

According to The Eagle Tribune, a black Ford F-150 and a white cargo van sideswiped each other on I-93 North.

Police said the van pulled over on the high-speed side of the interstate, and the driver got out to look at the damage. He then got into the van and drove across the center median strip to go south on I-93 back into Massachusetts.

Police describe the man as a male of average height wearing a baseball hat, a dark jacket with a hoodie and khaki pants. The van was white with a large American flag painted the length of the van and a handicap sign in the rear passenger side window.

Anyone with information on this driver or van is asked to contact Sgt. William Burke, at 603-223-8965, or 603-223-4381, extension 0.
