Salem police: Mother, daughter shoplifted $1,000 worth of merchandise from Kohl's

SALEM - Police charged a mother and a daughter for shoplifting over $1,000 dollars worth of merchandise from a Kohl's Department Store on Monday.

Witnesses reported seeing a mother, daughter, and 8-year-old son take items into the changing room, remove the packaging, and wear them before leaving the store.

The son was released to family members.

The mother was Adelaida Jordan, 33, and her daughter Chabellie Cruz, 18 - both of Roxbury Mass., were charged with willful concealment.

Jordan was arraigned and held on $7,500 bail. Cruz is scheduled to be arraigned on February 1, 2016.
