SALEM - A fast-moving storm Thursday night hit one Salem neighborhood hard.
Trees fell outside two homes on Birch Hill Road, and residents say they were without power for several hours into early Friday morning.
Sandra LoDuca said she and her family were on the first floor when they heard a loud bang and ran to the basement. A tree fell on the back of their house causing major damage to rooms upstairs, she said.
Frank Dunn said he lost a few chickens in the storm, but no one was seriously hurt.
