Salem man hospitalized after being attacked outside his home
SALEM – A Salem man is in a Massachusetts hospital with life-threatening injuries after being attacked outside his home.
Police arrived to the Bluff St. residence Sunday night to find the victim badly beaten on his front lawn.
According to Salem Police, the victim had an argument with an ex-girlfriend on Facebook and she allegedly asked him to meet her in front of his home. When he walked outside he was attacked and struck numerous times in the face and head.
He was brought to Holy Family Hospital in Methuen where doctors declared he had suffered a brain injury and transported him to Massachusetts General Hospital.
The attack is under investigation by the Salem Police Department.
