Salem man facing slew of child porn charges after 'disturbing' investigation

SALEM - A man is facing multiple child pornography charges after police said they conducted a "lengthy, and disturbing investigation."

Brian Powell, 33 of Salem, was arrested Monday night.

The investigation was conducted by the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

He is charged with with 3 counts of manufacturing child sex abuse images, 3 counts of possessing child pornography, and 3 counts of certain use of computer services prohibited.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.

Police said the investigation is on-going, and Powell could face additional charges.
