Sale of Fred Fuller Oil to Rymes approved by bankruptcy judge

MANCHESTER - Fred Fuller Oil and Propane has been sold to Rymes Oil in Pembroke.

Rymes will assume all of the responsibility of Fuller's customers starting Wednesday.Fred Fuller Oil filed for bankruptcy Nov. 10 and the company's attorney said at the time the biggest reason is a $4.7 million lawsuit filed by it's biggest supplier, Sprague Energy.

Fuller made headlines last January during a severe storm when hundreds of pre-buy customers filed complaints with the state about late or non-existent deliveries.

The lawsuit by Sprague Energy said Fuller owes $4.7 million for unpaid bills.
