Rollover accident ends with car on its side; firefighters stabilize to get driver out safely


CAMPTON - For the second time in less than a week, a car accident in Campton ended with a vehicle on its side in the median with a patient still inside.

According to the Campton-Thornton Fire Rescue, first responders were called to a reported rollover on Interstate 93 South at 8:30 p.m. Thursday night. A single victim was found in the vehicle, which was was balancing on its side in the median. Firefighters used rescue struts to stabilize the car and the victim, who suffered only minor injuries, was helped out of the car and taken to Speare Memorial Hospital.

State police are investigating the accident.
