Rochester woman charged after man she sold drugs to overdosed and died

ROCHESTER — A woman was charged with a class A felony after she sold drugs to a male who later overdosed and died.

Nina Batista, 22 of Rochester, was charged with one count of dispensing a controlled drug with death resulting.

A police investigation into the death of a 23-year-old male determined he died from acute fentanyl intoxication Sept. 15.

The drugs that he overdosed on were sold to him by Batista.

Batista was served the warrant Friday at Strafford County jail where she was being held on other charges.

She will remain in jail and is scheduled to be arraigned at Strafford County Superior court on Monday.
