Rochester teen who battles cancer has a special day with the Patriots

ROCHESTER - A local teenager who has battled cancer was cheering Sunday for her new friends at Gillette Stadium -- friends like Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Garoppolo and Devin McCourty.

Alicia Wade and her family had the opportunity to meet the Patriots players and owner Robert Kraft thanks to the Make A Wish Foundation, which arranged a day with the Patriots for Wade and several other children on Saturday. Then on Sunday, they were all invited back to watch the game against the Washington Redskins.

Wade, a major Patriots fan, was diagnosed with sarcoma cancer in October of 2014, and her leg was amputated to deal with a tumor there. She is currently in remission.

Wade's family reports everyone was very excited about the special weekend.
