Rochester Police Officer named Officer of the Year

ROCHESTER - A local officer who works with dogs was selected by the N.H. Police, Fire & Emergency Medical Service Foundation as this year's Police Officer of the Year.

Officials said Keith MacKenzie has been with the Rochester Police Department for 12 years and is widely recognized for his work with K-9s.

MacKenzie currently handles two dogs, Phlirt, a yellow lab owned by Rochester police, and Daisy Mae, a bloodhound owned by the Strafford County Sheriff's Department.
