ROCHESTER — A man was stabbed twice after an argument outside of Walgreen's on Tuesday night, leading police to arrest one suspect.

Rochester police said they responded to Walgreen's at 104 S. Main St. about 10:52 p.m. for a reported stabbing that occurred in the parking lot.

Officers arrived and found the 26-year-old male victim who had been stabbed twice, once in the abdomen and once in the chest. He was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the suspect had fled the scene prior to their arrival, but about 11:54 p.m., officers found the suspect, David M. Hussey, 48, on Olde Farm Lane and subsequently arrested him.

Hussey was charged with two counts of second-degree assault, both class B felonies. His bail was set at $10,000 cash and he is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.

Police said this was not a random act and that Hussey and the victim are acquaintances and arrived together. They then appeared to get into an argument in the parking lot which escalated into Hussey stabbing the victim.

The Rochester police are asking anyone who may have information about this crime that could assist with the investigation or any other information to call 330-7128.
