Rochester police investigating three overnight home burglaries
ROCHESTER - Police are investigating three home burglaries that occurred overnight while residents were sleeping.
The first burglary happened on Sewell Road between 9:30 p.m. Sept. 18, 2014, and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 19, 2014. An unknown amount of cash was taken.
The second burglary took place on Milton Road between 11:30 p.m. Sept. 18, 2014, and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 19, 2014. During this burglary, the suspect or suspects went into a garage.
The third burglary also occurred on Sewell Road around 10:45 p.m. Sept. 22, 2014. A resident was awakened by a dog barking and came face-to-face with a masked intruder in her house. The suspect fled.
The Rochester Police K-9 unit tracked the suspect northbound along the train tracks toward Milton but were unable to find him. The suspect was described as a male between 5-feet, 3-inches tall and 5-feet, 9-inches tall wearing a dark mask and a hooded sweatshirt.
There was no sign of forced entry in at any of the homes. Police are reminding residents to lock their doors and windows before going to bed.
