Rochester police arrest 2 in connection with thefts earlier this month

ROCHESTER - Police have made two arrests in connection with a rash of thefts and burglaries around Rochester earlier this month.

Police say their investigation into the thefts led them to two suspects, Zachary Sutton, 23, and Joshua Day, 25, both from Rochester.

Both men have been charged with one count each of receiving stolen property. Police they found both men in possession of several items that had been reported stolen in early to mid December. The value of the items was over $1,500.

Day turned himself into police after learning a warrant had been issues for his arrest. Later in the day, police located and arrested Sutton. Both men are being held at the Strafford County jail on $5,000 cash bail and are scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday in Dover District Court.

Police say their investigation continues and more charges could be forthcoming against the both suspects.
