Rochester mom: Daughter 'won' pills as vending machine prize at NH pizza parlor

ROCHESTER - Police launched an investigation after a woman told them she found pills inside a vending machine filled with candy and toys for children.

The Rochester mother said she, her mother and her daughter were at a local pizza parlor when the girl put coins into the vending machine and the container with pills inside came out.

She reported the incident to police around 6:30 p.m. The three pills inside the container are blood pressure medicine.

Police are now working with the pizza parlor owner as well as the owner of the vending machine John Asprogiannis, who lives in Massachusetts, to find out where the pills came from.

The pizza shop does not have keys to the machine and the owner of the machine says they pills do not belong to him.

Police have not received any other complaints.
