Rochester man accused of soliciting minor for sex
HAMPTON - A man from Rochester has been arrested and accused of soliciting a minor for sex in Hampton.
Dustin Bortz, 21, of Rochester was arrested on Thursday.
Investigators said Bortz was wanted for soliciting a minor for sex and graphic images on the internet.
Police said the child involved in this case told a Hampton School Resource Officer of inappropriate messages that were sent via Facebook.
Bortz was arrested for three counts of certain uses of computers. Each count alleges that Bortz used his computer in the commission of the following offenses; attempted felonious sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and indecent exposure.
Bortz was arrested without incident after traveling to a location in Rochester where he believed he was meeting the minor child.
Bortz faces an additional charge by Rochester Police for traveling to meet the child.
Bortz was being held on $5,000.00 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
