Rochester couple charged following drug investigation, 50 grams of heroin found by police
ROCHESTER - Officials say a months-long investigation by the Strafford County Drug Task Force led to the arrest of a Rochester woman on drug charges and a man accused of being her accomplice.
The couple were stopped by Rochester police while driving on Route 125. Heidi Copp, 36, of 5 Lois St. was allegedly found with 50 grams of heroin and was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute.
Also in the car was Keith Stevens, 33, also of 5 Lois St., who was charged with criminal liability for the conduct of another.
Both were held at the Strafford County jail on $10,000 cash bail. They were scheduled to appear in Strafford County Superior Court on Wednesday.
The county sheriff's office say more charges are expected.
