ROCHESTER - A man has been arrested after, police said, he robbed a bank in Rochester.
Police responded to the Bank of America on South Main Street at about 11:10 Tuesday morning.
According to police, it was reported that a white man with a darker complexion, some facial hair, a facial mole, between 5'7" and 5'9" tall wearing a red sweatshirt and baseball style hat entered the bank and upon speaking with the teller passed a note demanding money.
No weapon was mentioned or shown. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
No one was hurt during the incident.
Rochester Police's K-9 Unit was called to the scene and conducted a lengthy track.
After reviewing security video from the bank, police arrested Thomas Hegarty, 20, of Rochester.
Hegarty was charged with robbery. He was also arrested on an electronic bench warrant.
Hegarty refused bail on all charges and was transported to the Strafford County Jail pending his arraignment Wednesday morning at Rochester District Court.
