Rindge man under arrest after leading police on chase in Keene, North Swazey

KEENE - A Rindge man is facing multiple charges after he led police officers on a pursuit through Keene and North Swanzey early Saturday morning.

The Keene Sentinel reports Joshua S. Baldinelli, 27, was charged with disobeying a police officer, aggravated drunken driving, possession of controlled drugs, driving after having license revoked or suspended, reckless operation, and failure to use turn signals.

Keene Police reported an officer tried to stop Baldinelli at about 12:30 a.m. while he was driving on Lower Main Street. Baldinelli refused, and continued traveling along Route 12 into Swanzey at speeds well in excess of the posted speed limit of 30 miles per hour, police said. Baldinelli then turned onto Pasture Road in Swanzey and eventually pulled over in the area of Pasture Road and Wilson Pond Road.

After that, the Keene police log stated he was on the ground, being held at gunpoint.

He is being held on $5,000 at the Cheshire Count jail, and is scheduled to be arraigned in 8th Circuit Court District Division in Keene Monday.
