'Ride with Max' to support 4-year-old boy battling leukemia

LACONIA — Funds are being raised at a bike ride and walk along Laconia's WOW trail for a 4-year-old who has been diagnosed with leukemia.

"Ride with Max" will take place at 5 p.m. on Friday to raise money for the medical treatment of Max Gagnon, according to the Citizen.

Raffle tickets are being sold now and will continue to be sold during the event where the winners will be announced. All proceeds from the raffle will go to the Gagnon family. About 30 donated items will also be raffled off at the event.

At the conclusion of the bike ride and walk, a party for the participants will be held at Wayfarer Coffee Roasters, 626 Main St., at about 6 p.m.
