Reward money grows in effort to find Denise Robert's killer
MANCHESTER — The reward for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of Denise Robert's killer continues to grow.
According to the Union Leader, the Grant family, which owns State Motors Lincoln on Hooksett Road, added $5,000 to the reward fund that has been growing since it was established days after Denise Robert was killed the night of Aug. 30 while walking on Ray Street.
Greg Grant, president and general manager of the dealership, told the Union Leader on Friday he hopes the reward will motivate people to come forward with more information.
“At some point, somebody that knows about this is going to say something,” Grant said. “I’m pretty sure whoever did this told somebody. If the money gets high enough, then that person might talk.”
Grant said he also hoped other businesses will donate to the fund, which has nearly doubled since it was announced Sept. 2. The donations over the last week brought the total to more than $32,100.
Kim Griswold of Manchester Crimeline said the Robert reward is by far the largest she’s seen in about 10 years with the nonprofit that offers a financial incentive for citizens to come forward with information that assists Manchester police.
Robert, 62, was well known in the community after more than 30 years in advertising sales for the New Hampshire Union Leader and Neighborhood News.
