LACONIA — Nathaniel Kibby, the man facing more than 200 charges for allegedly kidnapping and raping a North Conway teen, has been denied a trial date extension by a judge.
Kibby's defense attorney's argued that due to being buried under 43,000 pages of evidence, and also after losing a member of their team to personal reasons, that they needed more time to review Kibby's case.
Friday, the state's Superior Court ruled against the defense and said Kibby's motion to continue is "denied without prejudice."
Kibby's trial is still expected to begin in June.
