NASHUA- Hundreds of Republican activists are expected to attend the Republican Leadership Summit in Nashua over the weekend. In all, there are 19 speakers who identify as Republican candidates. Speakers Friday included New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, who has announced he's running in 2016.
Many of the big names at the event like New Jersey Governor Chris Christie bring their own security, but what about the rest of the event?
NH GOP Chairwoman Jennifer Horn says law enforcement agencies have taken care of the security and the event ran smoothly Friday. Nashua Police have an officer on site during the event.
Events and speeches will continue at the Crowne Plaza on Saturday.
