Doing double duty as a mom and as an employee is never easy - but it's harder in some states than others, according to a new report by Wallet Hub called "2015's Best & Worst States for Working Moms."
Several southern states were listed as among the worst, with Louisiana at the bottom of the list. Analysts used data from several sources including the U.S. Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor and Statistics and the National Partnership for Woman and Families.
Based on that data, the Granite State was the fourth best state to be a working mom, with Vermont taking the top spot, and Minnesota and Wisconsin claiming the second and third spots respectively.
The survey also looked at gender pay gaps, where Vermont, Washington D.C. and California had the lowest gaps. The gender pay gap was worst in Wyoming, Louisiana and Alaska.
