U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster has named the man she said sexually assaulted when she was a 23-year-old staffer on Capitol Hill.
Kuster told the Concord Monitor in an editorial board interview Wednesday that her assaulter was Dr. Christiaan Barnard, a South African surgeon who performed the world's first human heart transplant. He died in 2001.
Barnard and the congressman she was working with had invited her to a meeting, where Barnard had put his hand under her skirt, Kuster said.
This comes during the time that Donald Trump's remarks surfaced about using his fame to touch woman sexually.
Kuster has called the decade-old audio recordings of Donald Trump “reprehensible.”
