Red Cross seeking volunteers, holding 'disaster bootcamp'

The Associated Press

CONCORD — American Red Cross officials say the need for volunteers across New Hampshire and Vermont is critical, and so they're holding a "disaster bootcamp" in the North Country this month.

The session is scheduled for April 29-30 in Gorham.

The bootcamp is a fast track training opportunity for individuals interested in becoming an American Red Cross Disaster Responder. It's a day-and-a-half-long training session and also offers the opportunity for current Disaster Responders to brush up on their skills.

The application deadline is April 27.
