Red Cross in NH helping people affected by fires in Center Conway, Derry

CONCORD - Fires in Center Conway and Derry have Red Cross volunteers busy across the state on Wednesday morning.

Spokesman Lloyd Ziel said the organization is currently assisting a family of six from Main Street in Center Conway and four adults affected by a fire on West Broadway in Derry.

Ziel says Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers will be ensuring those affected have food, clothing, medication and other essentials and a safe place to sleep.

Regional leadership is also identifying and calling available volunteers to stand by should flooding necessitate openings of shelters and Disaster Action Team mobilization, he said.
