RECALL: Toyota makes automotive history by recalling 1.6M cars with suspected faulty airbags
Toyota is recalling nearly 1.6 million vehicles as a part of the Takata air bag inflator problem.
The action expands what was already the biggest automotive recall in U.S. history.
The inflators can explode metal fragments inside the car.
The latest recall includes Scion and Lexus models from 2006-2011.
